UK Business Visa

Overview

As an entrepreneur, you can apply for a UK Business Visa under the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) category. To be eligible for this visa, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Access to investment funds – this can be your own money or from an approved funding source.
  2. Proficiency in English language – you must be able to speak, read, write and understand English to an appropriate level.
  3. Genuine business plan – you must submit a detailed business plan which shows that you have a genuine and credible business idea.
  4. Qualification criteria – You must score 95 points in total in order to qualify for the visa. Points are awarded for your funds, your English language ability, and your business plan.

Once you meet the above requirements, you can apply for the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa online. You will also need to pay the healthcare surcharge as part of your application.
